Framing

It is a misconception that old photographs should be safely tucked away, never seeing the light of day but with professional framing techniques and ensuring they are hung away from direct sunlight there is no reason not to have them out to be enjoyed.framing

Some framing advice:

  • always frame using an acid free window mount to ensure the photograph will not become stuck to the glass
  • tape the backing board to the frame to keep out dust and thunderflies
  • ensure the hanging mechanisms are new and secure

We frame using quality acid free mounts and backing board, securing the photograph in place using acid free tapes – glues and ordinary tapes such as Selotape  can damage your photographs.
